Jetson
was rescued from the Newark, NJ SPCA on January 6th, 2002. As his
foster home described him, "Jetson, the handsome two-year-old
boy with a thick, luxurious coat, has jettisoned his way into our
hearts. He's a saint--I'd like to canonize him!" With that
it is hard to imagine his foster home ever giving him up, but they
knew his forever home was out there waiting for him.
On
February 2nd, 2002, Jetson found his home with the family of many,
the Eckert's. Jetson's new family came to the rescue looking for
a family dog, their first family dog. Well this was certainly a
job for Jetson. Young energetic and eager to be everyone's friend.
He got off to a bit of a rocky start, since who knew any family
could completely and totally wear a husky out!
A
member of TOTTSHR, who was involved in this placement, writes, "On
seeing Jetson and his new family after being together for a few
weeks now, it is obvious that Jetson loves his new family. All he
wanted to do is know where they were."
Thank
you to the ENTIRE Eckert family for giving Jetson that special
place he can call his home. You have done such a wonderful job with
him. We know he appreciates it as much as we do.
Check
out how Jetson is doing ... here is an update from his personal
in-house trainer and best friend Caitlin.
February
21st, 2002:
Hi,
This is Caitlin. I have taken him out for a walk and he doesn't
pull me but sometimes when he sees the dog across the street but
just a little (it is ok with me)!! Well my Dad just got him two
new toys and some liver treats but Jetson already chomped up one
of them there was all cotton on the floor and the squeaker doesn't
work anymore. Today when I was walking Jetson, Jim (my brother)
his car window was open and Jetson just leaped in so I had to open
the door and say "come here Jet"! It was funny though!
From, Caitlin
