Success Stories: Our Dogs
Kanga

Molly and her pups came to us from York, PA on January 24th, 2002. A young girl herself and already a mom. Her previous owners had the idea that breeding dogs makes you money. However, when the husband left the wife with 12 dogs to care for Molly was no longer wanted and her babies were only 3 days old. Even though we only had limited space in rescue. We decided that that we couldn’t let her and the babies go to a shelter.

Little Kanga was the only girl in the bunch. A cute little dark gray and white, blue eyed creature. She was right behind Eyeore in everything. A very smart girl who never took to being pushed around by her brothers.

Kanga found her home on April 6th, 2002 with the Osik family.

April 30th, 2002 Update:

Just wanted to give you the latest on Kanga. She is growing very quickly. She was at the Vet last week and weighed in at 25.8 lbs. She is very intelligent and loving and has quite an appetite. Kanga is a very independent thinker. She is working out beautifully here with us. We are spoiling her and showering her with lots of attention. My husband has taught her to sit, stay, and to give her paw. She does very well. She attracts lots of attention when she is out for a walk. Children love her. Kanga was introduced to a frisbee today. It was comical. She had a great work out. My daughter has bought many leashes and matching collars. Kanga is the best dressed puppy in the neighborhood. I'll keep you informed.

May 19th, 2002 Update:

On April 6, 2002 my family and I adopted a beautiful and very intelligent Siberian Husky named Kanga through TOTTSHR. She is working out well in our home. She definitely has a mind of her own and a lovable personality. She has not met one person that she has not liked. It doesn't matter if it is a toddler or an adult, Kanga loves them all. She loves the water. We found her trying to get into her water bowl. So, we got her a pool which she loves splashing around in. Kanga is a great addition to our family. She is the dog that we have been looking for.

August 7th, 2003 Update:

I thought you might like an update on Kanga. She has been with us about 16 months now. She is lively, inquisitive, fast and very graceful and a real charmer. She has many admirers. At the present time she wieghs about 50 lbs. and has just completed shedding. Kanga is a gentle dog who gets along with babies, little children and adults. She still thinks she is the tiny puppy who came to us because she loves to curl up on my husband's lap and take a nap. Kanga has brought us many laughs. She has some very comical expressions and when she gets started in a conversation with us it is something to see and hear. Kanga is a wonderful animal.
