Hi,
my name is Freya...the goddess of love and fertility! I am about
4-5 months old and weigh about 27 pounds. My first owners left me
in Maryland in an overnight drop box at a shelter because they said
I wasn't housetrained or good with kids. I say give me a chance
and teach me to be those things and I will!
And
sure enough, I did find a family who is ready for my puppy power.
I met my new family, the Surines, on March
28, 2004 and went home to them for good on April 9.
I am
really having a great time with my new brother Jack, a very cute
shep/husky mix puppy. I am quite sure we will have many years of
play and fun. I also really love my new parents and my new human
brother, and I think the cats are pretty cool too.
We
checked in with the Surines on 4/12:
Freya
is doing great. She has been respectful of the cats (after a few
wacks to the face) and she and Jack are learning how to play with
each other. (When they first met, Jack wasn't sure what to make
of Freya's advanceshe kept running away from her because he
didn't understand that Freya's invitation to play involved hanging
from his neck!) Now, Jack is chasing her around the table and he
has also started to learn how to grab her by the neck and feet to
play like she does with him...payback time!
She
had a rough first night in the crate, lots of wooing initially,
but has become better over the last few nights. She also, of course,
had to test the Surines and pretend that she didn't know any commands!
On
5/26, Heather reported:
Freya
is doing great! We are so happy with her. She and Jack play well
now, and she has even progressed to sharing her favorite heart toy
with Jack. The cats are learning to co-exist with Ms. Freya and
are venturing downstairs with the dogs, even at meal times. Freya
is a daddy's girl and is also improving with her woo woo's in the
crate while the family is there....daddy is putting his foot down!
All is well and we couldn't be more thrilled with the little white
girl with the 'tude!
